Clean Power Technologies Inc. (CPTI) is a publicly listed company trading on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) under the symbol CPWE. CPTI is also listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on XETRA under the symbol C1L.
CPTI, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Clean Power Technologies Ltd. (CPTL), is developing petrol/gasoline and steam hybrid technology. CPTL is located in the United Kingdom.
CPTL is developing novel power trains for hybrid vehicles in which the alternative, auxiliary power is charged with exhaust heat otherwise dissipated in conventional combustion engines and regularly equivalent to two-thirds of the energy in the combusted fuel. This heat is recovered in part in a combined heat exchanger and energy reservoir using a saturated liquid, like water, as the energy storage medium, offering a potential fuel saving of up to fifty per cent compared with the conventional heat engine cycle. The reduction in local and global pollution consequential from this fuel saving in the hybrid vehicle is maximized by joint operation of the main and auxiliary power systems but is further enhanced by the ability of the energy reservoir to provide for significant periods totally non-polluting power in a closed vapor cycle in urban and other statutorily controlled areas; this is like the electric battery in other hybrid vehicles, but unlike the battery, with a high power availability and without further inefficient fuel consumption for charging.
CPTI/CPTL has prototype hybrid vehicles under active development using this Clean Energy and Power Recovery System (CESARS) which is applicable to all forms of transport from light cars through heavy trucks to locomotives and marine transportation.
The objective is to optimise fuel consumption and to minimise pollution.
CPTI/CPTL's technology is also Oil Company friendly and it will help reduce oil dependency problem, a concern that is expressed universally by all nations.
CPTI is currently developing a steam powered refrigeration unit for truck reefers. The company has entered into a collaborative partnership with one of the largest grocery chains in the United States for data collection to enable it to design a refrigeration system that will provide fuel efficiency, reduction in the emissions and economic benefits.
CPTI is also working on her projects based on the CESAR process such as engines for marine application and the automobiles.
CPTL has established a state-of-the-art fully equipped facility in East Sussex, England. Tests began in October of 2007 and the results gathered thus far have been most encouraging. The company's first product to market will be the reefer refrigeration units whilst the development process will continue with marine application and the automobiles.
In October 2006 we entered into a Collaboration Agreement with Doosan Babcock (www.Doosanbabcock.com) for the development of the Steam Accumulator and other related technologies. Under the Collaboration Agreement, Doosan Babcock agreed to become a shareholder of Clean Power Technologies Inc.
In February 2008, CPTI entered into a consultancy agreement with a Swiss corporation, DLM which is well renowned for their expertise in the steam technology to act as outside consultants to CPTI in matters pertaining to the steam technology.
CPTI has entered into a first stage collaboration agreement with one of the largest grocery chains in the United States, for the purpose of data collection and to undertake preliminary design work for the steam refrigeration units for the grocery trucks.
In March 2008, CPTI has entered into a collaboration agreement with Voith Turbo Gmbh & Co. KG of Germany to jointly develop a reefer engine. Voith is one of the largest privately owned corporations in Germany with revenue of in excess of $6.0 Billion and over 35,000 employees.
